AN OVERVIEW OF NON-DISASTER AND DISASTER FINANCIAL SUPPORT
How to meet the match and apply for millions in mitigation funding

    Educate to Mitigate<font size=1>TM</font>

Millions of dollars are available for hazard mitigation projects in Louisiana. As part of a Community Education and Outreach (CEO) program, the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) invites you to attend a special workshop on non-disaster and disaster mitigation funding, designed:

To show hazard mitigation planning as the first step to mitigation funding.
To guide in determining eligible projects.
To show how to creatively reach local match requirements.
To help develop applications that expedite awards.
To provide direction on what to do once a grant is awarded.

Subject matter experts will be present for official briefings and key staff workshops. These workshops are for state, parish and municipal leaders, professional staff and their consultants involved in projects under funding criteria of the four non-disaster mitigation funding programs and post-disaster funding: Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grants, Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA), Repetitive Flood Claims (RFC), Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) and Post-Disaster Grants available through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.

These FREE workshops are provided by
Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP).
